There are many different ways to clean a drain. There are different applications used to get the same results. Line jetting is the preferred method for preventative maintenance to sewer lines, cabling is the best option for emergency backups.
Architects and plumbing designers, as well as contractors, do not always take in to consideration the needs of the end user's of their design. The problem that business owner inherit is access to the sewer lines, for that reason we have different tools, and equipment that we use to clean sewers.
Cabling
Grease Masters uses different types of cables to open drains. Sometimes you might see us use a drill with a very small cable to get thru small sewer lines and other times you will see us use cables that are over 1 ¼ inches across with up to a 4” cutter blade.
